Are familiar with GPS navigation, marking way points and using the go to function for navigation. But would like to use your GPS receiver in conjunction with topographic maps and transfer information from one GPS receivers to another....

Introduction to GPS/Geocaching

Offered by York Adult & Community Education

This course will introduce you to basics of how to operate a GPS unit and how to navigate using a GPS.Participants will have the chance to do some geocaching as well. Age: 12 & up.

Introduction to Map & Compass

Offered by York Adult & Community Education

Learn how to correctly use a compass. Knowledge of land navigation skills is important for travelers in the woods. Orienteering and use of topographic maps will be covered. Age: 12 & up.
