Dot Mandalas allows the painter to find a sense of calmness and are created by painting dots to form beautiful patterns using special tools and acrylic paints. No artistic experience required. It is fun and easy. Joyce will show you how it is done!
The defining criterion for a dot painting is the technique used - that it is produced by repeated imprints of a paint covered dotting stick onto the surface of the painting. In doing so, recognizable 'dot' marks create desired patterns.
In addition to the class enrollment fee, there will be a $15 materials charge payable directly to the instructor for those who do not already have the tool kit that is required for dot painting. All other materials will be provided for all as needed.
Class size is limited. Enroll early!
Session 1 will focus on using the tools to create a beautiful mandala on your choice of a rock or plaque. (Maybe both, if there is time.)
Session 2 will use templates to create beautiful mandalas on a clay flowerpot!
Tuesdays, 6 - 7:30 PM, July 13 and 20, $45 bring your dotting kit (or purchase one for $15 from Joyce at the first workshop.)
